Samsung Galaxy A57 5G: Specs, Features, and Expected Price

Samsung is reportedly preparing the launch of its next-generation mid-range flagship, the Galaxy A57 5G. Recent certification listings and industry leaks suggest a shift in release strategy and significant hardware upgrades over its predecessor.

The device is expected to succeed the Galaxy A56, positioning itself as the premium tier of Samsung’s A-series for 2026.

Display and Design

The Galaxy A57 is rumoured to feature a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution.

Reports indicate Samsung may source flexible OLED panels from TCL CSOT alongside Samsung Display to achieve significantly thinner bezels.

Peak brightness is expected to reach up to 2,500 nits, a substantial increase designed for improved outdoor visibility.

The build will likely retain the “Key Island” design, utilizing Gorilla Glass Victus+ on both the front and back with an aluminum frame.

Performance and Storage

Leaks point to the debut of the Exynos 1680 chipset, a 4nm octa-core processor. This SoC is expected to include the Xclipse 550 GPU, which preliminary data suggests could offer nearly double the graphical performance of the previous generation.

Base configurations are expected to start with 8GB of RAM, while a higher-tier 12GB variant may be available.

Internal storage options will likely include 128GB and 256GB. Like recent predecessors, the Galaxy A57 is expected to omit the microSD card slot.

Camera Specifications

The rear imaging system is expected to be led by a 50MP primary sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). This will likely be accompanied by a 13MP ultra-wide lens and a 5MP macro sensor.

Contradictory reports exist regarding the front-facing camera, with some sources suggesting a 12MP sensor and others hinting at a major upgrade to a 50MP selfie shooter.

The device will support 4K video recording at 30fps on both the front and rear modules.

Battery, Software, and Connectivity

Powering the device is a 5,000mAh battery with support for 45W wired fast charging. However, consistent with Samsung’s current policy, a charging brick is not expected to be included in the retail box.

The Galaxy A57 will likely ship with Android 16 and One UI 8.0/8.5, benefitting from Samsung’s commitment to six years of OS and security updates. Other confirmed features via BIS certification include:

  • IP67 or IP68 dust and water resistance.
  • Dual-SIM 5G support.
  • Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.
  • Under-display optical fingerprint scanner.

Samsung Galaxy A57 5G: Pricing and Availability

While Samsung has not officially announced a launch date, the SM-A576B/DS model number has appeared on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website.

This suggests a launch as early as February 2026, potentially ahead of or alongside the Galaxy S26 series.

Expected pricing for the base 8GB/128GB model is estimated at $499–$529 (approximately ₹42,000–₹46,000), keeping it in direct competition with the Google Pixel “a” series and higher-end Redmi Note models.
