Amazon India has announced a substantial pricing adjustment for the iPhone 17 Pro Max as part of its ongoing Great Republic Day Sale 2026.
The flagship device, which debuted in September 2025, is currently available through a combination of flat discounts, bank offers, and exchange bonuses that can reduce the effective cost by up to ₹44,000.
Initially launched at a retail price of ₹1,49,900 for the 256GB base variant, the device is now listed at a lower effective price for Prime members and eligible cardholders.
How Amazon’s ₹44,000 Offer Works
The total savings of ₹44,000 are achieved by combining multiple offer tiers. Amazon is providing a flat ₹6,500 coupon for Prime members, applied automatically at checkout.
This is supplemented by a ₹3,000 instant discount for SBI Credit Card users or a 5% unlimited cashback (approx. ₹7,170) for Amazon Pay ICICI Bank cardholders.
The most significant portion of the “massive discount” comes from the enhanced exchange program.
Buyers trading in a high-value predecessor, such as the iPhone 16 Pro Max in “Good” condition, can receive an exchange credit of up to ₹34,500, bringing the total potential benefit to the ₹44,000 mark.
A19 Pro Performance and Thermal Management
The iPhone 17 Pro Max is powered by the A19 Pro chipset, manufactured on TSMC’s refined 3nm process. The SoC features a 6-core CPU and a 6-core GPU with dedicated hardware-accelerated ray tracing.
To address sustained performance, Apple integrated a vapour chamber cooling system in this model. This allows the device to maintain higher clock speeds during intensive tasks like AAA gaming or 4K ProRes video rendering without significant thermal throttling.

The device features a 6.9-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display, the largest in iPhone history. It supports ProMotion technology with a 1Hz–120Hz adaptive refresh rate and has achieved a peak outdoor brightness of 3,000 nits.

The Republic Day Sale offers are valid until January 22, 2026, or until stocks last. The maximum exchange value is subject to the condition and model of the old device.
While the ₹44,000 discount represents the maximum ceiling, standard buyers without an exchange can still expect an effective price of roughly ₹1,40,400 using bank and coupon offers alone.
