Recent regulatory filings and supply chain reports suggest that Samsung may finally upgrade the charging capabilities of its upcoming flagship, the Galaxy S26 Ultra. A 3C certification listing for a device believed to be the Ultra model indicates support for 60W wired fast charging.
This development follows years of consistent 45W charging speeds across Samsung’s premium lineup.
While the manufacturer has not officially confirmed the change, the leaked specifications point toward a “Super Fast Charging 3.0” branding to distinguish the new tier.
Charging Speed and Battery Details
The move to 60W would mark the first significant increase in wired charging speed for the Ultra series since the introduction of 45W support. Internal testing leaks suggest the device could reach a 75% charge in approximately 30 minutes under controlled conditions.
This represents a notable jump over the Galaxy S25 Ultra, which remains capped at 45W. Despite the increased speed, the battery capacity for the Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to remain at 5,000mAh, focusing on efficiency rather than a larger cell.
Samsung Unpacked and Regional Availability
Samsung is expected to officially unveil the Galaxy S26 series during its Galaxy Unpacked event scheduled for February 25, 2026. The event is anticipated to take place in San Francisco, with a global live stream reaching audiences worldwide.
For the Indian market, availability is expected to align closely with the global release, with pre-orders potentially opening shortly after the keynote. Retail units are likely to reach Indian consumers by early March, following the company’s traditional rapid deployment strategy in the region.
As with all pre-launch information, these charging specifications remain based on unverified leaks and certification data. The final hardware details, including official charging times and compatible accessories, will only be confirmed by Samsung during the formal announcement on February 25.
